PERRIE Edwards has left fans hot under the collar with her sexy new music video for her debut solo single.
The Little Mix star has branched out on her own project, with Forget About Us shooting to the top of the iTunes chart after it was released on Friday.
But on top of the track being a certified bop, the 30-year-old star caught the eye of viewers everywhere with the accompanying video, which among scenes sees her dancing around a luxury villa with a red thong bodysuit on.
The song sees Perrie reflect on a past relationship as she wanders through a sunny mansion in Cape Town, South Africa, dancing in a red long-sleeve top with thong bottom before dancing on the bed while getting changed.
As she jumped up and down while dancing to the track, the star flashed her perky bum to the camera while spinning around the bedroom.
Other outfits saw her mucking about on a tennis court while an unknown person films her on a camcorder, with viewers seeing her from the video’s perspective in an almost bridal-like champagne top and tulle skirt, laughing.
A third scene sees her in a huge yellow dress as she sticks her feet out in front of her, lamenting about how she hopes her lost love remembers the good times they shared.
The video ends with her writhing around on the beach in a white top with matching thong bottom.
Fans wasted no time in praising the star for the tune, with one telling her on Instagram: “You f**king killed it. I’m obsessed with the video and with you.”
“What a beautiful music video, I love it and it’s just give me the summer vibe,” said a second.
Little Mix – initially comprised of Perrie, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – have all branched out into solo careers for 2024.
Jesy left the band completely in December 2020, later severing all ties with the bandmates, but the remaining girls carried on as a trio for two years before announcing a hiatus.
However, they clearly remain solid pals and have been seen celebrating the others as they head out into their own music ventures.
Leigh-Anne was the first to release new music by herself, with multiple singles now out including My Love, Stealin’ Love and Don’t Say Love.
Jade is also working at the studio to create her own tracks, having signed a deal with RCA Records in March last year.
Her single, Angel Of My Dreams, appears to take a swipe at Simon Cowell in the process, with the telling line: “Sold my soul to a psycho” – a reference to Simon’s now- defunct record label, SyCo — which the girl band quit in 2018.
Speaking on Capital Breakfast last week, Perrie admitted it was hard branching out on her own, telling host Sian Welby: “I’m still subconsciously like, ‘Jade, Leigh-Anne…where are you?’ It’s really bizarre, but it is exciting. Like, it’s exciting that we’re all doing our thing and, like, loving each other doing our thing.
“You know, you never know what the future holds, and I just I do miss them a lot. So this is random for me.”
